My Daughter

My Daughter
A careful woman I must be
A little lady follows me
I do not want to go astray
For fear she will go the same way
No matter what I may do
This little tyke, she does it too
When I cook, sweep or shine
I get help from this daughter of mine
Just like me she wants to be
This little lady who follows me
We sing and smile, we laugh and play
She brings much happiness each day
I must remember as I go
Thru summer sun and winter snow
I’m building for the years to be
This little lady who follows me
