This is my first lazy Saturday in I don’t know when…

Today I found myself sleeping late, waking to an empty house and a full coffee pot and the Food Network all morning. Boy, I can’t even remember the last time that happened. I feel like the Johnny cash Song-I’ve been to Savannah, Destin, Stumpy Springs, Nashville, Chicago, Tuscaloosa, Birmingham-I’ve been everywhere man –I’ve been everywhere! Today I am home and it feels really good!

In less than two weeks I will be fifty-did you hear me the BIG 50! I will officially be old! But I took that real age test and it said I’m 36. Somebody’s lying.  I think I know-my beautiful, precious, awesome God given angels keep me young!

I love being with my family and friends and I try to do that as often as possible. I really love my Sunday School class and miss it when I am not there-we lift each other up in all ways.

I have lots on my mind-but one thing I really have there is priorities and choices. We all have them and we make them. Sometimes we make bad choices and then we must pay the consequence. Sometimes we get our priorities out of order and we need to have a heart check. I’ve been there- I sometimes feel like a frequent visitor there. I put things –even if they are good things above the most important thing…Knowing , pleasing and living for God!

Have I  told anyone lately about the Lord and how He loves them and how they can have eternal life –which by the way -will be so much better than this life(and I love my life)!

I was driving home from Tuscaloosa last weekend and I was listening to my WOW 2009 CD and a song came on and I listened to every word and I began to cry.You see I get to living and I don’t tell people enough, especially that daughter or son I pray for many times a day , that Jesus loves them and that’s the most important thing.

Turn off my playlist and -Watch please and listen to each word-tell me do you know someone who needs to know this today…

I thank God that He loves and has given me love for others.

"For God so loved Lorie that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

I thank God that He has blessed me with so much more than I deserve. I pray that I am a blessing and will always share my blessings with others.

Psalm 84:12
O LORD Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you.

I thank God that He has  shown me great Mercy-You see I am a sinner and I still sin although He has saved me. I thank Him for second and third and tenth chances.I THANK HIM THAT NOTHING i DO WILL SEPERATE ME FROM HIM. I pray I show others mercy-when they fall, make wrong choices,or even when they hurt me.

Ephesians 2:3-5 3All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. 4But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

John 10:28
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.

Okay-I feel good this Saturday morning!

It’s almost noon –do you think I need to get out of my gown and do something constructive? I believe not…

I hope I just did.

Tell someone you love today that Jesus loves  them.

Tell someone you don’t know that they can experience true happiness –even in these tough times we live in.

If you see someone in need –help them and then say you did it because it has been done for you a long time ago at Calvary.

Thanks for letting me sit in my easy chair on my first lazy Saturday in my cotton gown and share the best news I know.

Be blessed!!!

Hi Lorie!

You will love the 50's, come on in...the livin' is fine!! When I turned 50 we were out of town with our Sunday School kids. A "friend" had put a huge banner in our yard that ...Maree is 50!. Huge letters...I was mortified when we pulled in our driveway a week later. I got over it! ;-)

Thank you for sharing your faith...Jesus loves you!

LOVE the song...(gotta copy cat it on my blog next week if you don't mind.) It will go perfect with a picture of my new grand daughter Kate. She was born missing 6 fingers and a few toes...she comes home from China Thursday morning and I CAN'T wait! Kate is beautiful and precious!
