So if I'm not able to connect as much as usual, that's why.
I don't like flying either--at all!
I'm praying the whole time going up and again going down, and once those wheels touch the ground I'm shouting Hallelujah!
Glad you had a great visit.
Have a great evening.
Brenda :)Brendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14289590616497815887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6057433629452107110.post-25799768385811036322008-06-02T14:10:00.000-05:002008-06-02T14:10:00.000-05:00Lorie,Thanks for your continuing encouragement and...Lorie,

Thanks for your continuing encouragement and yes, I am having more good days right now and enjoying them. I am very sorry to hear about your friend. It really is a shock and hard to realize that especially at such a young age and a family at home, that we are still vulnerable to death.
I will pray for him and I hope he will be able to embrace his good days and enjoy them to the fullest with his family. It is so easy to get overwhelmed with our grief (a natural process and nessesary) but, hopefully he'll have time to focus on the good things in his life. Hopefully he can give of himself to his family right now so that they will have that gift of him in their hearts and minds after he is gone.
No one likes to think about death but by focusing on family and life, it is possible to have love, joy and fellowship.
As a friend, you can play a vital role (depending on your relationship and closeness) by offering to help him with anything from writing a will, organizing paperwork, cleaning out belongings so family won't have to deal with it later, or many other little things including just praying for him, holding his hand, a quick squeeze and eye to eye contact. Men don't always want to talk about it but they just need someone to be with while watching TV or some other activity.
What I dreaded most was people making a fuss over me and if people can be a normal as possible, it will be easier for him to do what he needs to do and to feel a little more 'normal' too.
Take care and wish his more happy days for me.Revahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03457010127573931688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6057433629452107110.post-91005331276861832272008-06-02T12:56:00.000-05:002008-06-02T12:56:00.000-05:00You look like you had a wonderful time.
